Free Second Opinion

Before you sign that replacement quote, let us read it

Free, no-pressure review of any replacement bid — contractor, chain, or chatbot. We check the sizing, the scope, and the rebate claims, then tell you plainly. Sometimes the verdict is 'take that bid.'

The sizing math

Was the capacity load-calculated or guessed from square footage? Bids a ton apart didn't measure the same house — we'll check yours against the house itself.

The scope lines

Permit, venting corrections, electrical, disposal, condensate — in or out? A low bid that 'discovers' these later isn't low.

The rebate claims

Is the model actually on the program's qualified list? Is the installer network-qualified (required for PSE from April 2026)? Promised rebates that never arrive are the quiet quote inflation.

Free second opinion — replacement quotes

What system was quoted?

Rough size of the quote?

Where did it come from?

Scope honesty: the free second opinion is a sales-advisor review of replacement quotes — not a technician diagnostic visit, which is paid work. If your system needs diagnosis, say so and we'll book that instead.

Fair questions about the offer

Is it really free? What's the catch?

Free on replacement quotes, yes — it's a sales-advisor visit, not a technician diagnostic (diagnostics are paid work). The transparent self-interest: some second opinions become our customers when the first bid doesn't survive scrutiny. When it does survive, we say so — that answer costs us a sale and builds the reputation we've run on since 1938.

Will you just undercut the other bid by $50?

No. The output is an honest read of the bid — sizing, scope, equipment tier, warranty layers, rebate reality — not a bidding war. If the other quote is good, you'll hear 'that's a good quote.' If we can genuinely do better, we'll show the math side by side.

What should I have ready?

The quote itself (model numbers and scope lines matter most), your system's rough age, and any load-calculation paperwork the bidder left. Photos of the equipment and panel help if the conversation goes deeper.

My 'quote' came from an AI chatbot. Does that count?

Absolutely — those are exactly the numbers worth sanity-checking. Chatbots can't see your ducts, panel, or house, so their figures miss the drivers that set real Seattle prices. We wrote a whole page on why.
