The 25C Energy Efficient Home Improvement Credit (up to $2,000 for heat pumps) was terminated for any system placed in service after December 31, 2025. If an ad promises a federal tax credit on a 2026 install, it's out of date. Seattle Clean Heat's income-qualified bonus (up to $6,000 total toward an oil-to-heat-pump conversion) lists a completion cutoff of September 30, 2026 — and conversions take scheduling, equipment, and paperwork time. The $2,000 any-income rebate continues; program terms change, so we verify current eligibility before you commit.
